About our Chief ExecutiveJulian Stanley
Julian Stanley joined Teacher Support Network in 2009 after spending eight years as the Chief Executive and Managing Director of a large community charity, The Cresset, and its trading subsidiary in Peterborough. During his time there, Julian delivered a wide range of educational and commercial services to schools and the general public with a special emphasis on young people, the elderly and those with disabilities. Prior to joining The Cresset, Julian was Chief Executive of The Capital Link Partnership: an innovative regeneration project chaired by Sir John Wheeler, JP, where he developed a pilot Business Improvement District and a range of projects to improve safety in the West End of London in conjunction with the Metropolitan Police, Westminster Council and Private Landowners. The project was supported by HRH Prince Charles. Over the years, Julian has been a trustee of several charities including Apex, which is devoted to training unemployed youth, and chaired the development agency East London Dance during a period of huge growth. Julian is also a director and chair of the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Learning Trust. As a consultant, Julian has delivering training projects for several local authorities as well as a number of private sector companies including Sun Alliance, Marks and Spencer, Texaco and BP. Julian studied at ManchesterMetropolitanUniversity and the University of North London. In 2006 he received a Cambridgeshire Business Link `Winning Leaders' award, which gave him the opportunity to study Leadership in Management at the Leadership Trust. |
