Our Christmas wish list

by Flora Williamson : 16 December 2009

As thoughts turn to the Christmas break we have all been thinking about what gifts we are going to give to friends and loved ones. This year at Teacher Support Network we have written our wish list to Santa, but we want you to be his elves and help him out. This year there are just three presents that we really want.

1. Take some time for yourself. We all know how stressful it can be teaching, so enjoy your break and look after your wellbeing. That way you can go back to the new term refreshed and ready to take on the challenges of the New Year. Take a look at our online InfoCentre for some ideas.

2. Keep donating. We remain open 24 hours a day throughout the Christmas and New Year period. At this time of year, when most people are enjoying festivities with their friends and family, there are many teachers out there who are lonely, in distress, in need of a listening ear or just don't know where to turn. However we can only do this thanks to the generosity of our supporters. If you would like to donate please click here.

3. Tell us about your experiences. Last but not least, we really want to hear about your experiences with pupils' parents, and your answers will directly influence our work with the parent support charity, Parentline Plus, so please take part soon before the survey closes! To take part in the survey just click here.

And remember if you need us over the holidays you can contact us on 08000 562 561 (England), 0800 564 2270 (Scotland) or 08000 855 088 (Wales). Lines are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (including Christmas and New Year's Day).

Teachers Building Society has joined forces with the national charity for teachers, Teacher Support Network to offer you this unique savings account. Click here to find out more.
