Volunteers needed for workplace bullying bookProfessor Mary Thornton and Dr Pat Bricheno from the University of Hertfordshire are looking for volunteers to help with their study of workplace bullying in educationby Professor Mary Thornton and Dr Pat Bricheno
Researchers from the University of Hertfordshire would like to hear about teachers’ personal experiences of workplace bullying. The research project is designed to have a positive influence on teachers' experiences in the current educational environment, but they can't do it without your help. We are seeking volunteers to help us with the book we are producing about workplace bullying of teachers in schools. We are asking teacher volunteers to take part in one-to-one private conversations where you can tell us in complete privacy about your experiences of workplace bullying or, if preferred, to complete a very short survey form telling us about your experiences. We hope to hear from both primary and secondary school teachers from many different levels within schools. We would very much like to hear both from those who have experienced bullying and also from those in senior positions who have to deal with allegations of workplace bullying within their school. The experiences you tell us about will be available only to the researchers. Nothing will be reported in a way that lets people identify you or your workplace. We will not share personal information with anyone else. If you are willing to participate by talking to us face-to-face about your experience of workplace bullying, please contact us by clicking here. No travelling will be involved; the researchers will travel to you. One of the researchers will contact you early in the New Year. If you would prefer to help us by completing a short online survey, please click here. Thank you. Professor Mary Thornton (PhD, MA, BEd) Dr Pat Bricheno (PhD, MSc, BSc, PGCE) Former research fellow, University of Hertfordshire To get involved in this study, contact Professor Mary Thornton or Dr Pat Bricheno here.
