Work-life balance and health and wellbeingDoes it seem like the school day never ends?By Lucy Rowe
This workshop focuses on three key areas; workload, work-life balance and wellbeing. All of these issues have a profound effect on the way in which we live our lives and how we function at work. By learning how to manage and improve these areas of your life, you will be better able to cope with both the demands of your home life and work commitments. The aim of this workshop is to help people assess the ways in which they can manage their own workload and then find ways to improve this. This helps delegates see what help and advice they may be able to give their colleagues and also find methods that they may be able to apply to their own situations. Through the use of case studies and group work we will help participants identify areas that contribute to their personal wellbeing. By doing this we find it helps people to focus on aspects of their lives that they may need help with and on manageable ways in which to do this. By the end of the workshop we hope that those taking part will have realistic and meaningful solutions to some of the problems they are facing. We want them to feel motivated about making the changes they have identified and feel confident that they can achieve them.
