Several websites listed here offer great starting points for your job search.

Once you have made the decision to look for a job, whether it is for your first teaching job or a move to a new school, there are plenty of places you can start your search. Below is a list of possible sources for you to try:
Times Educational Supplement
The TES, in its paper and electronic formats, is still the most commonly used job-hunting tool. It lists hundreds of job vacancies every week (with the number increasing dramatically just after resignation dates). It also carries career guidance and there is a link to the TES Schools Directory, which includes information about the school such as Ofsted reports - www.jobs.tes.co.uk
Times Higher Educational Supplement
The THES is the equivalent of the TES for Higher Education. Its website carries the vacancies listed in the paper version - www.thesjobs.co.uk
Tuesday Guardian
The Guardian carries some teaching jobs, but the emphasis is on other types of education-related jobs, including those in local education authorities - www.guardian.co.uk
Local Education Authorities
Local Education Authorities (or Local Authority Education Departments) have their own recruitment websites. More often than not, jobs are advertised in more than one place, but it is worth keeping your eye on different places where vacancies are listed.
TeacherNet
www.teachernet.gov.uk has an online recruitment site, as well as extensive information for job seekers.
Recruitment websites
Again, schools tend to advertise vacancies in more than one place to ensure that as many potential candidates as possible see the ads. Just type a search term ‘teaching jobs’ into any search engine and you will see which are the most commonly visited sites. You can see which are the most useful by looking at geographical coverage, how recently news jobs have been added, and how much extra help you are given with your job hunting.
Agencies
Agencies are particularly useful for finding supply work. They can offer short-, medium- and long-term opportunities and many offer careers and job-hunting advice. Again, you can see which are the most popular by typing ‘teaching jobs’ and ‘agency’ into a search engine.
