If you are struggling to manage your finances, or have been landed with an unexpected cost, we can help you in a number of ways. In England and Wales Teacher Support Network charities currently offer grants in England and Wales. You may be offered money advice as part of this free service. You should be aware that there are basic eligibility requirements for a grant. To be eligible to apply you must: • Be a serving, former or retired teacher (or a dependent). In most cases, grants cannot be awarded for private school fees, fees for educational courses, private medical treatment, white goods, furniture, redecoration, home repairs and maintenance, holidays or payment for curriculum related field trips. Grants are not generally awarded for non-priority debt but money advice is always available. Please note: We cannot provide financial assistance towards tuition cost, student loans or student debts. Any staff working within adult, further or higher education may be eligible for a grant, as well as serving, former and retired lecturers. If in doubt, then do not hesitate to call us anyway, as we may be able to help you in other ways even if you cannot apply for a grant.
