Our Starting Out Guide is going onlineOur new online guide will help you navigate your way through the start of your careerBy Andrew Lyons : 3 February 2009
Our new website is aimed at helping make the transition back into the classroom as smooth as possible. A few years ago, we developed our Starting Out Guide (pdf) for trainee and new teachers. It's still available in pdf format and just as loaded as ever with information to help you prepare for the challenges ahead. Our new website at www.newteachers.info takes that information online, to be accessed anywhere, and includes help and advice on managing your workload, classroom management, meeting the parents and staff relationships.
As a new teacher, you will be faced with challenges unique to the environment you are working in, where there are social as well as professional dynamics to consider. Some of these challenges cannot always be predicted and so the experience of every trainee and NQT will be different. Our site aims to reflect that experience. Head over now and bookmark the Starting Out Guide as a useful resource and be sure to make your additions as well. |
