Our Running Man, Joe Williams
I’m Joe Williams, the Press and External Relations Manager at Teacher Support Network. This year, I’m taking on a unique challenge: to raise money for our charity so that we can continue to provide vital support for teachers in need. Throughout 2010, I’ll run twenty-four 10km races – that’s one race every fortnight on average.

I have an initial target of £5,000, although it would be great it I exceeded this, so please sponsor me if you can. This money will help provide telephone counselling support for two hundred teachers who need our support.

With your help, Teacher Support Network will be able to provide vital counselling for another teacher with every 1,200 metres I run.

runnersI will be regularly updating my blog – so you can follow me along my way and share in the trials and tribulations, from the glories of crossing the line after a long slog through the rain and snow, to the recent miseries of being overtaken after 6km by a 12-year-old.

Please dig deep and help me beat my target. More and more teachers are coming to us for support, and we really want to be able to help them.

You can sponsor me on my Virgin Money Giving page.

If you are interested in taking on a challenge – be it a sprint or a marathon than we are able to secure places in various events for you – including the London Marathon. Just contact Flora using the form here, or by calling 020 7697 2766.

Thank you so much for your support.
