Teacher Support Network has appointed Jackie Ball as its new Director of Fundraising.

"I am really thrilled to be joining Teacher Support Network" said Jackie. "I believe that everything I have learnt to date in my career will be put to very good use, as we seek to increase the levels of earned income and donations the charity requires to continue its very important mission, namely to support teachers and lecturers in times of need and to improve their health, effectiveness and wellbeing."

Jackie joins Teacher Support Network Group after four years as Director of Finance, Marketing and Fundraising at the British Polio Fellowship and a variety of earlier roles in the finance, marketing and retail sectors for seven UK airports and the Telecommunications industry.

"I'm deeply interested in education, even more so now, as I have two children of my own still at school" adds Jackie, explaining her decision to join Teacher Support Network. "This has given me a greater understanding of the vital work that teachers do for us all."

Group Chief Executive Julian Stanley said "We are delighted to welcome Jackie to the charity. Jackie brings with her a huge range of skills, experience and expertise that will enable the charity group to further develop our fundraising strategies. Jackie comes highly recommended and has already been warmly received by the staff and the senior management team. We are all looking forward to working with her so that we can further develop the depth and breadth of our work and reach many more of our target group - be that to provide telephone and online support, counselling, information, research and policy materials or grants for those in need."
