IT'S TIME TO CHANGE
new campaign challenges attitudes around mental health problems

Time to Change is a partnership of organisations that has come together to combat the stigma and discrimination that exists around mental health.

At the start of 2009, Time to Change launched a new campaign across England designed to challenge attitudes and change behaviour around mental health problems. One of the main aims of the campaign is to inspire people to work together to end the discrimination surrounding mental health.

Part of the Time to Change campaign is focussed on the education sector. Education Not Discrimination (END) is run by Rethink and targets key audiences who have a significant impact on the lives of people with mental health problems.

END will be working with medical school students, trainee teachers, trainee headteachers and school social inclusion officers. Rethink have developed a resource pack for teachers of all levels to raise awareness of mental health issues. It can be used as a basis for staff training or within lessons.
