WELLBEING AND STRESS AT WORK: YOUR INPUT NEEDED
Joint survey launched with University of Kent: prizes on offer!
by Joe Williams : 25 November 2009
We are constantly trying to understand the wellbeing of teachers better in order to tailor our services to their needs and help push for change that will better promote and enhance their emotional and physical health.
For this reason, we’ve teamed up with academics from the University of Kent to look into how teachers respond to work-related stress and how this impacts their wellbeing.
Julian Childs, a Social and Applied Psychology PhD student, and our partner on this project, said: “We are interested in how teachers’ personal standards and work-related goals affect how they feel about their job.”
Findings from this and other studies will form the basis of a wider project, which aims to develop a workshop that helps people to cope with stress at work.
Taking part and winning prizes
To take part, just fill out a questionnaire on your personal goals and standards as well as thoughts and feelings about your work. The questionnaire will take 10-15 minutes and you will be asked to complete it twice: now and in three months’ time.
If you complete both questionnaires, you will be entered into a raffle with prizes of
1 x £100, 1 x £50 and 2 x £25!
When the results of the study have been analysed, you will be emailed a factsheet summarising what we have found.
You can take part in the survey here.
