How can our Support Line help you?

by Sally Baker : 4 February 2010

We are here to take your call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you’d like to speak to someone for support or advice, call us on 08000 562 561 (England), 0800 564 2270 (Scotland) or 08000 855 088 (Wales).

This week we’ve answered over 340 calls to our Support Lines. Here’s a breakdown of some of the ways we’ve helped this week:

  • Over 48 per cent received information.
  • 18 per cent of callers received coaching from a trained advisor.
  • 15 per cent of callers received counseling from a trained advisor.
  • Almost 6 per cent received information on grants.
  • Nearly 4 per cent were signposted to other sources of information.
  • Over 2 per cent had specialist money advice.

Here’s how some of our callers say we’ve helped them:

“It was great just to talk to someone objective about my situation, and get some perspective. Thank-you!”

“This phone call could literally be life changing for me; recently bereaved I am to be put in touch with a counsellor who will hopefully help me to move on.”

“Everything was clearly explained to me and the young lady I spoke to on the phone was helpful and non-judgmental of my current financial situation.”
