£100 voucher up for grabs in new parent-teacher relations surveyby Kevin Armstrong
This survey is now closed and we will be reporting on it shortly - sign up to out newsletter to stay in touch... TSN and Family Lives have launched a major survey to inform new resources and campaigns on parent-teacher relations. All participants will be given the chance to win £100 in John Lewis vouchers, which will be sent in December to the winner in time for the Winter term break. We know that this is a vital issue for countless teachers across the country, and your survey responses will directly influence what we do to address it. The survey will build on the 2009/10 survey by Teacher Support Network and Family Lives which found that, whilst the majority of parent-teacher relations are positive, 64 per cent of teachers who responded had been subjected to verbal or physical abuse by a pupil's parent. Roughly one in six teachers who responded to a Guardian survey this year said that they had considered leaving the profession largely because of worsening behaviour by their pupils' parents.
