Teacher Support Network is a group of independent charities that provide practical and emotional support to those working in the education sector. Volunteers help us to keep our services free as well as providing the latest information to those who really need it. We are a small group of people running a high profile charity, can you help us?

Job Purpose - To work with the Client Experience Manager to develop content for online InfoCentre services tailored to the charity's specific audiences. This includes reviewing existing content and researching for new content.

To consider opportunities, including sponsorship, for new factsheet content from other organisations and research into this.

To assist in promoting online content and the charity's services to school, college and university staff in Scotland, England and Wales.

Responsibilities

  • To lead in researching and writing new factsheet content for online InfoCentre services across the charity group, tailored to specific charity audiences.
  • To review and update existing sections of content, particularly career/work and other areas identified by the charity group.
  • To consider opportunities for sponsorship of online content with organisations relevant to the charity group. Looking specifically at opportunities for other organisations that could provide information for the charity's audience.
  • To support the Client Experience Manager and Communications Team with day to day activities, including researching and writing other online content, as required.

Person Specification

  • Excellent research skills and writing skills, including experience writing for the web and factsheet style content.
  • Good knowledge and an interest in the teaching and education sector with a passion for providing valuable and useful online resources for users.
  • Evidence of strong organisational, self-motivated, communication skills, a proactive approach as well as an ability to quickly understand and utilise new IT software.
  • An interest in the teaching and charity sectors would be an advantage.

Expenses

This is a volunteer post, so expenses are provided for travel to and from work, as well as a maximum £5 for lunch expenses.
