Merry Christmas from Teacher Support Cymru

Take some well-earned time away from the classroom and make the most of the holidays

By Joe Williams

With Antarctic temperatures, sentimental adverts on the television and wide-spread panic over ever-decreasing time to find for shopping, it seems that Christmas time is again almost upon us. As a teacher, you're about to take some well-earned time away from the classroom to spend time with friends, family or relaxing doing your own thing. While you may not be able to escape work entirely for the festive season, it's important to make sure that you find time to unwind and make the most of the holidays so that you're fresh; ready for the New Year and new term. Why not look at the following factsheets from our online InfoCentre to try and help?

Christmas may be a time of reunions and good cheer, but the pressures of Yuletide can themselves be difficult to manage. In particular, many people feel the financial strain at this time of year. The following factsheets may help if you are struggling to find the pennies for your Christmas presents or to budget effectively for the break.

Seeing families and friends may also be an opportunity to enjoy ourselves, but for many the intensity of the period can add to stress and anxiety. The following factsheets may help you with your personal relationships and any difficult individuals that you face spending time with over the Christmas break.
