Teacher Support Cymru welcomes new Development Manager

Teacher Support Cymru this week welcomed the arrival of a new Development Manager.

Sandra Taylor will work full-time in the charity’s office in Nantgarw.

Sandra has been working for charities in Wales for 17 years, and has wide-ranging managerial experience with a particular focus on the provision of emotional and practical support to people of all ages and backgrounds. She is a qualified counsellor and over the last three years has worked in this capacity at schools in Cardiff and Rhondda Cynon Taf.

Julian Stanley, Teacher Support Cymru Chief Executive, said: “We’re very pleased to have Sandra come on board at what is a crucial time for our charity and teachers in Wales.

“Her experience working in counselling, schools and charities means she is perfectly suited to help secure the charity’s financial future, develop links with partners in education and help TSC improve the wellbeing of teachers across Wales.”

Sandra Taylor, Teacher Support Cymru Development Manager, said: “Throughout every section of Welsh society, education is recognised for the vital role in plays in the lives of young people. Teachers are the key ingredient in ensuring education is successful and I’m very pleased to be able to help TSC support the profession.

“I hope to build on relationships the charity has already formed and develop new, productive partnerships. I am determined to ensure that Teacher Support Cymru plays a central role in education in Wales and that all teachers – whether in highly-populated or rural areas – are aware of the support that can we offer.”
