The Government has confirmed that teachers in England and Wales will still receive the final pay increase of the current three-year pay award from this September, despite the emergency budget's plan to freeze public sector pay. Nevertheless, several teacher unions have expressed real concern about the budget, which has planned a possible 25% cut over four years for the Department for Education.
